Whether you’re a first-time parent or on child number four, having a new baby is a huge change. Often, parents find NCT or other antenatal classes a useful resource to prepare for the labour and birth but then arrive at home with a newborn and think ‘what now?’

This course will guide you through those first few weeks, how to encourage good sleep habits from the start, how to ensure you know that your baby is getting what they need from you and all the knowledge to ensure you can be as relaxed as possible for them.

About the course

This 5 module course is designed to teach you how help your newborn baby in all areas of feeding, sleeping and generally helping them to be more settled for you. Each module consists of video tutorials, written notes and everything you need to ensure you are confident and relaxed for your baby. This also includes information on how to recognise common medical issues such as colic, reflux and cow’s milk protein issues.

MODULE ONE

How to set positive habits from the start, why you and your baby’s sleep is incompatible, the science of sleep, development and the 4-5 month sleep regression.

MODULE TWO

Your emotions in the first few weeks, how to help you and your baby relax and why it’s important. What to focus on first. Feeding advice, breast and bottle tips, feeding on demand and having more predictability.

MODULE THREE

Following and encouraging a more predictable day, example daytimes to follow, night time tips, daytime vs night time hours, evening and bed time routines.

MODULE FOUR

Sleep triggers, techniques to encourage your baby to sleep well, moving forward to more independent sleep, how to help your fussy baby.

MODULE FIVE

Troubleshooting temperature control, swaddling and slings, medical issue symptoms, diagnosis and how to help your baby with colic, reflux, CMPI/CMPA and food sensitivities. Breastfeeding, elimination diet, changing milk, boosting milk supply, expressing and bottle practice.

Introducing Hannah Love

Hi I’m Hannah Love I’ve spent the last 25 years helping families with their babies and children.

In my twenties I completed three university courses - in Paediatric Nursing, Nutritional Therapy and Cranial Sacral Therapy, whilst travelling the world nannying for pro golfers. When nannying I was a huge part of every family I worked for- this is where I learnt to juggle family life.

In my thirties I raised my own 3 children (Oliver born in 2008, Ella in 2012 and Henry in 2015) and founded and grew the Yummy Baby business. We also put aside plenty of time for fun- as a family we love travelling, weekends away, festivals and our favourite camping trips!

Through Yummy Baby, and my newer venture, Sleep Well, With Hannah, I’ve brought together all of my experience and training to help hundreds of other families learn to juggle family life and, most importantly, sleep well.

I see myself as more than a sleep expert- my deep knowledge of babies and children is what makes families feel confident in my hands, and is what makes my programmes, talks and courses work.

Through my CALM (Consistent, Achievable, Loving and Manageable approach to parenting I not only teach parents how to manage their baby’s feeding, weaning, nutrition, behaviour and my most popular subject – sleep. I am at my happiest when I am helping other families enjoy family life as much as I do. Together with my husband of over 15 years, Daryl, we are busy – but make time for lots of fun. All of our children went to their first festival, holiday and camping trip before their six month birthday. Another great passion is cooking food (and growing and eating it too!). I am happiest entertaining friends, with happy children running around our garden. In fact, there isn’t often a child (or adult) that has come to our busy house that doesn’t resist going home.
